More than <strong>150 participants<\/strong> from about <strong>65 partner organisations \u2013 including UPTEC<\/strong> <strong>\u2013<\/strong> took part in this meeting. <strong>Maria Oliveira, UPTEC&#8217;s Executive Director &#8211; Business<\/strong>, and <strong>Andr\u00e9 Forte, Head of Business Development &#8211; Arts<\/strong>, were in Cologne to exchange ideas on the\u00a0future mission of the\u00a0Innovation Community.\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space empty_h=&#8221;2&#8243;][vc_column_text alpha-anim&#8221;]The opening remarks by Dr. Christian Ehler, Member of European Parliament, and Dr. Jens Brandenburg, State Secretary to the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, set the scope for our ambitions and actions for the coming years.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row unlock_row_content=&#8221;yes&#8221; row_height_percent=&#8221;0&#8243; overlay_alpha=&#8221;50&#8243; gutter_size=&#8221;3&#8243; column_width_percent=&#8221;100&#8243; shift_y=&#8221;0&#8243; z_index=&#8221;0&#8243; el_class=&#8221;margin-top-30&#8243;][vc_column width=&#8221;5\/12&#8243;][vc_single_image media=&#8221;12636&#8243; media_width_percent=&#8221;100&#8243; bottom-t-top&#8221;][vc_empty_space empty_h=&#8221;2&#8243;][vc_single_image media=&#8221;12634&#8243; media_width_percent=&#8221;100&#8243; bottom-t-top&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;7\/12&#8243;][vc_column_text alpha-anim&#8221;]\r\n<div class=\"uncode_text_column alpha-anim animate_when_almost_visible start_animation\">\r\n\r\n\u201cThe political understanding of the Cultural and Creative Industries and Sectors has matured over the last few years. They have been recognized as one of the 14 ecosystems at the heart of European industrial policy\u201d, said Dr. Ehler, referring to the long-term effort of Members of the European Parliament to bring them into the spotlight of research and innovation agendas. \u201cThey also play a central role in the New European Bauhaus movement initiated by President Ursula Von Der Leyen\u201d.\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space empty_h=&#8221;2&#8243;][vc_column_text alpha-anim&#8221;]\r\n<div class=\"uncode_text_column alpha-anim animate_when_almost_visible start_animation\">\r\n\r\nDuring the meeting, participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas on the <strong>future mission of the <\/strong><strong>Innovation Community<\/strong>, including the <strong>green, digital, and social transformation of Europe<\/strong>. These principles will be embedded in EIT Culture &amp; Creativity\u2019s first open call for proposals for education, innovation, business creation and social innovation initiatives planned to be launched in February 2023.\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space empty_h=&#8221;2&#8243;][vc_column_text alpha-anim&#8221;]\r\n<div class=\"uncode_text_column alpha-anim animate_when_almost_visible start_animation\">\r\n\r\n&#8220;With EIT Culture &amp; Creativity, the European Commission is establishing a pan-European structure for the innovative power of the entire creative industries for the first time &#8211; for all small and large, profit and nonprofit stakeholders. This is a one-time opportunity for the creative industries and for Europe.
